<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-42"></span></p>
<p>BMXing today is split into a number of disciplines;</p>
<p><strong>Bicycle Motorcross / BMX</strong></p>
<p>Racing a BMX against a number of other riders in rounds much like athletics around a motocross circuit which is made of of dirt jumps and turns designed to test the riders.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span class="youtube">
<object width="425" height="355">

</span><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcwROuOzru0">www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcwROuOzru0</a></p></p>
<p><strong>Street</strong></p>
<p>Although more commonly seen<strong> </strong>grinding<strong> </strong>curbs or jumping stairs in town, street has grown into one of the more popular disciplines.  Riders are pitted against an artificial street course and are rated based on the style, technique and difficulty of tricks performed over a period of time.</p>

<p><strong> Park</strong></p>
<p>Park is very similar to street however it is set inside a custom built skate or BMX park and contains a number of different types of ramps and other obstacles.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span class="youtube">
<object width="425" height="355">

</span><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t9tFllrNl4">www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t9tFllrNl4</a></p></p>
<p><strong>Vert</strong></p>
<p>Vert is where the rider is marked on his or her tricks over a period of time but with all tricks being performed on a half pipe ramp.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span class="youtube">
<object width="425" height="355">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/abFUAI6cN8U?color1=d6d6d6&amp;color2=f0f0f0&amp;border=0&amp;fs=1&amp;hl=en&amp;loop=&amp;showinfo=0&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;showsearch=0&amp;rel=1" />

<p><strong>Dirt</strong></p>
<p>Dirt jumping is the process of performing a number of tricks over a series of usually man made dirt jumps.  Despite being short in time, dirt jumping often includes big tricks and is very difficult due to the constant changing surface of the dirt jumps.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span class="youtube">

<p><strong>Flatland</strong></p>
<p>Flatland is the ultimate show of skill, balance, patience and strength.  These riders make the most difficult of tricks look like walking due to countless hours of practice.</p>
